For the ninth release on M>O>S Recordings, Aroy Dee brings us what we love him for best: raw and deep house tracks drenched in melancholy.After two guest releases by Traxx and Houze Vectors, label boss Aroy Dee presents us strong and beautiful tracks, embedded in the history of electronic music from Chicago and Detroit, yet retaining that specific Aroy Dee - signature at all times. The title track ‘Summer’ is a perfect example of this: lowkey drums, crisp hats and warm layers of analogue strings and deep basslines. ‘Summer’ comes in two mixes, the bright mix and the dark mix. ‘Life of Raw’ is a fierce, Chicago-shapen monster track, combining raw jackin’ beats with luscious strings and pads , building up slowly into a never ending euphoria. ‘All That Remains’, a co-production with good friend Mr Delsin/Peel Seamus, is a beautiful, deep emotional tearjerker in the best tradition of Detroit techno.
