GALAXIES MERGING EP by DAN CURTIN

Following Dan Curtin’s superb remix of D-Knox ‘Out There’ in the summer of 2015, EPMMusic welcomes the return of this Metamorphic Recordings legend for his own full-length EP.The ‘Galaxies Merging EP’ opens with the title track and as it would suggest we get Curtin in sci-fi techno mode, with trampling beats and dappled synth work. ‘Mind Sweep’ continues the techno theme, but this time it’s high-tech funk with a deeper and soulful undercurrent, while the unpredictable, late-night workout ‘To Modify’ closes the EP with a bold wash of erratic electronics. As a whole, the EP offers a snapshot of the diverse elements of Curtin’s estimable production skills.
